A vision for the Randstad (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague) needs input from the people who live there. The usual methods failed to capture those varied perspectives adequately.

The approach

In guided online dialogues, 400 citizens explored the future of mobility, housing, transport and urbanisation, with custom-tailored scripts and professional moderation.

The outcome

The sessions produced widely-supported, contested and rejected positions, which sped up the follow-up conversations with stakeholders. In the end, parliament adopted recommendations from the research.
